Well before we really dig into Wealthy Affiliate. I have a confession to make.
I’d taken SEO Affiliate Domination before jumping into WA and now my goal was to fill in the gaps I assume were there. I had already ranked and earned my first commission a month prior, but now I was wanting to build on that momentum. And based on all the hype around Wealthy Affiliate I thought “this could be a gamechanger” compared to what I have been doing. Thankfully I’ve always learned through stacking info, this time was no different. It
Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth It?
WA is very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
I think approaching blogging to be a brand, rather than text surrounding links, is the approach that wins. They get that much right I must say. They heavily encourage you basically becoming a full-blown blogger. This might not necessarily be the best (or only) solution for many as they begin their journey. The problem with going the cheap route is that you don’t really get a full menu of choices. This is a tragedy, truly a roadblock none of us intend on having.
Wealthy Affiliate’s Shortcomings
Links
There is definitely a time and place for links (I believe this is best during the test phase). But to saturate your content with links and keywords, and no

Think about your favorite blogs, what are they? What sites do you frequent? Which ones do you know by heart? Which ones do you bookmark?
I’ve found that looking at my own habits can lead to huge breakthroughs. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you are writing for an interaction. You’re not going to get anyone to click a link without a solid enough reason why.
So often the approach in Affiliate Marketing earning is the first inclination. Asking questions, engaging with customers, and setting up processes to follow-up are dead last. I’m finally starting to believe the opposite. I’m starting to learn that earning your audience’s admiration and loyalty trump any one-time purchase that may happen toda.
A Time and a Place
As I’m writing this I have 8 other sites that are being used to test keywords, widgets, offers, etc.
The testing is done over on those sites so that I can better understand timing. When I say understand timing, I mean the idea of reaching people when things like Google Trends show what’s hot at any given time.
I can then narrow that generality down and understand what is the best entry point for an offer related. I combine that with the keyword research that is thorough and targeted. I learned the skill of discerning mediocre from thorough research through SEO AD, not Wealthy Affiliate.
The result is what I call a “test site”. A way to understand the market
I think we all at some point have this false impression of what it is to make money online. The bad graphics, the anti-social nerd, the spammy disconnected narrative on site. The blue highlighted text surrounded by begging and pleading. Stereotypes can lead one to behave a certain way. In this case, please don’t believe the hype. Google has enough blogs, let’s try to make something that resonates. Something that really counts.
